Minimum Advertised Price Policies impose restrictions on the price at which a product may be advertised. Many manufacturers have put these policies into place as a way to maintain pricing integrity in the market and ensure proper promotion of their products. This means that their products cannot be advertised at a price lower than the one given by the manufacturer. "Advertised prices" include notices or postings that advertise MAP Products (e.g. social network postings, flyers, email promotions, product pages). Pop up and email promotions may not be applied to MAP regulated products, as disclosed on the promotion.
